The client, a transcription and translation service provider, faced difficulties managing audio files, transcription, and document formatting across multiple users. They needed a secure, scalable platform to streamline audio file storage, transcription requests, and workflows, while ensuring smooth integration between Salesforce and AWS for document management and AI-driven transcription.
Solution
Two web applications—the Customer Portal and Transcriptionist Portal—were built using Salesforce, integrating with AWS S3 for secure audio file storage. Custom Metadata handled user permissions and portal configurations. CSS and Tailwind were used to create custom styles, enhancing the user experience.
Additionally, the Whisper Integration connected Salesforce with AWS Lambda to automate transcription. A button in the portal triggered the transcription process, using ChatGPT and JavaScript for formatting transcribed text into Word documents, which were then accessible through both portals.

The solution streamlined workflows, improving efficiency and collaboration. Automated transcription reduced manual efforts, while AWS integration ensured secure file storage.
